Accessibility
Built to be used by everyone.
Accessibility isn’t a feature we added — it’s how this site was built from the first line. This statement explains the standards we hold ourselves to and how to reach us if something falls short.
Our commitment
InDigitual is committed to making this website usable by the widest possible range of people, regardless of ability or the technology they use. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and to meet the requirements of Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act.
We treat accessibility as part of doing the work well — the same standard we bring to the products and ventures we build.
What we’ve done
This site was designed and built with accessibility in mind throughout. Specifically:
- Semantic structure & landmarks. Proper headings, regions, and ARIA landmarks so assistive technology can navigate the page in a logical order.
- Keyboard access. Every interactive element — navigation, menus, links, and buttons — can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- “Skip to main content” link. Keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass the header and jump straight to the page content.
- Colour contrast. Text and interface colours are checked to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
- Reduced motion. Animation and transitions are disabled automatically for visitors who set a “reduce motion” preference in their system.
- Responsive & zoom-friendly. The layout adapts from mobile to desktop and remains usable when text is enlarged or the page is zoomed.
- Descriptive alternatives. Meaningful images carry text alternatives; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
- Comfortable targets. Buttons and links provide touch targets of at least 44 × 44 pixels.
- Readable by default. System fonts load instantly with no flash of invisible text, and content is visible without requiring scripts to run.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is never finished. As we add pages and features, we test new work against the same standards and fix issues as we find them. If you encounter a barrier we haven’t caught, we want to know — your feedback directly improves the site for everyone.
